Yes we can't trust it but heard a long term weather forecast today we are in for a long hot dry summer  with really hot spells, we had 25% of normal rain in March let's hope like me often they are wrong.....
Think you just have to plan on a weekly basis...although that's difficult for you given your location.
Rain forecast all week on Shap this week

Theres been a few fish off the NW rivers this and ĺast month, seen some lovely photos of scale perfect BOS late Spring and Summer MSW fish from Border Esk, Eden, Lune and Ribble though only heard of a couple off Ribble but this weeks water will entice them in. In previous years when anglers scream 'no fish' at back end double figured coloured fish are caught and anglers ask 'where were they?' answer is in big deep lower pools in lower reaches not showing because pools are not stuffed. However get water in June and July youve a chance of catching them in their prime.

There seems to be a better stock of salmon in the river this year. Just Judging by the fish caught on our club beat and the fish I have seen show the last couple of times I have fished it. Last year there was nothing until the last two weeks of the season.
Yorkshire Fly or Bowland? Seen some superb fish on Facebook, lets hope they continue to come

Halton deeps are holding all the fish, it seems we will have a two week season given the lack of water...lack of fish lack of water equals lack of fishing effort, it's going to be an amazing two weeks come September Sedbergh Tebay way !!
