All you Finn fishers, I’m looking for some advice.

I am in the process of putting together a 3-4 day trip to fish the Finn, been in touch with Glenmore estates for details of there waters.

Any other clubs etc do day tickets on the Finn or any other salmon/ seatrout fishing close by?

Also best place to stay? Looking at Ballbofey, coming over from Cairnryan.

Thanks in advance.

Check out the Glebe anglers,or the Finn anglers Martin,as the water is all split up through different beats,I’d opt for Jackson’s hotel in ballybofey mate, there is b and b surely about, but I’d stay central pal, hope this helps you out bud…Jimmy 👍

Not been up really past the ivy bridge area,as all the best fishing is around there, like, ivy bridge,Grave yard pools, and right down to the Glenmore Bridge, as mick Hucknell owns that and along there and some belters of pools are there, but you need to hit them early, really early, before the masses arrive, seen a big belter of a fish getting lost there by Bert Atkins on the fly one morning, the dropper fly got caught up on a plastic bag that someone had thrown into the river, and the smart salmon didn’t take too long how to wangle the tail fly out his mouth to get away, felt sorry for Bert that morning as it was one heluva big brute of a fish, you don’t mind losing a grilse that are ten a penny, but yon big fish only come into the river a few times in there lives, and each time they are fatter, bigger, and a lot stronger, so for it to get off was soul destroying, but we never ever kil, fish, and let everything go, just as long as we get it on the phone or the GoPro, but try the Glenmore bridge and fish down yonder on a day ticket you’ll not be disappointed, the trick is to watch the forecast and time it just right,as the fish will be running hard and you’ll be in the middle of them, ok mucker…Tight Lines…..Jimmy 👍🎣🎣🎣
