Anyone had dealings directly with Loop tackle Sweden and can give their recommendation. Looking at a few items in the Outlet Store. Thank you in advance.
Regards and stay safe.

Yes..... no issues at all. Bought a reel from the outlet store sale a few weeks back. Arrived about 4 or 5 days after order. All very straight forward. A lot of items are now restocked as well - items which had been held back for shows/exhibitions etc which have since been cancelled due Coronavirus issue.

Took about similar time when ordering a reel direct from Danielsson.

I’ve had good service from them also, when returning a butt section I had a problem with. Replacement arrived pretty quickly, with only postage costs to cover and good response to emails.

As above, fantastic service from them. I sent a query regarding a drag problem in one of my reels. They emailed me back saying I could send it to them or if I was happy changing parts myself they'd post them out.

I opted for the latter and 4 days later an entire new drag system arrived in the post FOC.

They are mad.

I needed a rod section and they sent it out within a couple of days, about a week after that they sent the invoice. If you knew me you wouldn't do that.

Just goes to show what their profit margin is on rods and reels, I'm a bit peeved with their marketing strategy, paid top dollar for a loop outfit a few years back, and now they are selling them for half price, I won't be touching any of their rods or reels in the future as a matter of principle

Thats a bit harsh isnt it. You get half price sales in all sorts of stuff, its hardly something unique to Loop fishing tackle? I just bought a new sofa in a half price sale. My wife just bought new running trainers from Nike in a half price sale. Cant see either of us boycotting DFS or Nike in the future, thats just a bizarre thing to do.

Anyway those outlet stores have seconds when it comes to product, you will find that they haven't passed quality control if you examine them closely enough, you will find it with all factory outlets in any industry

Isn't that the principle of an 'Outlet Store ?' It was what they were originally for, selling 'Slight seconds, last years models, discontinued lines, etc.,' at discounted prices.
I doubt Loop would allow any seriously dodgy gear to go out, as they have too much to lose with 'Brand profile / reputation/ trust / image ?'
Where the 'High street ' outlets have jumped on the band wagon, and completely ruined a good thing IMHO, is that the 'Outlets' proved so popular among 'Savvie consumers,' the retailers got greedy. In stead of it being a way of recovering / minimising 'Deficits' incurred by wrong manufacture, unsold stock, etc., they saw it as a way of increasing profits.
Most of the big high street retail outfits, who run their own outlet stores, produce lines of a lower spec. to be specifically sold through the outlets....as people only see the label...trading on the name ?
One certain high street retailer of ' Discontinued, unsold, designer items,' Maxx their margins by slipping items they have had manufactured them selves, usually disguised by 'Foreign Designer labels,' onto their shelves ?
Look at the quality /function of what your buying...not the label....profit is not a dirty word...but, in the case of some retailers...Scruples...should never walk in front of it ?
Personally 90% of my rods are Loop, and I have had no problems at all with the brand.
If i hadn't just recently bought a new wading jacket, previous to the 'Lanios' being discounted, I would have jumped at it !

From what I gathered, they used to work outside of the LOOP concern and concentrated on market buy-ups the firm couldn't control. They had a legal dispute and things seem to have straightened out between them. Maybe Easky will have more info on this "internal business" agreement.

From personal experience, I can say they have always been more than correct with me. I once bought an Opti Big with a spare spool from them. They sent the wrong spare spool and it took a while before the Big one came. Strangely enough, they didn't even want the other one sent back before I got it. Chapeau.

Thank you for the Feedback

Thank you for your positive (in the main) feedback and recommendations. It's gives me a huge amount of confidence to purchase tackle direct from Loop Sweden.
Thanks again and stay safe.

Bought a Cross s1 rod from the outlet, great price and quick delievery. The rod cast great and there is nothing wrong with it, but the finish was a bit poor imo with some drops of glue on the cork, faded alignment dots and some minor detailes. It doesn't affect the function, so I dont really care.

I ordered a #8 Cross S1 in the recent sale, ordered late Thursday, delivered Tuesday and I can find no fault with it whatsoever other than the lack of an opportunity to use it. Played around in the garden, 30 yards turning over beautifully with a #9 GDC head I ordered with it, without a proper anchor, highly impressed. Its currently residing beside my bed to look at it each morning I wake up in anticipation....!

As this was my OP I wanted to come back to you all just to let you know that I decided to go ahead and purchase a few bits of tackle from the Loop Outlet Store. As suggested by Greegs I contacted Eoin Fairgrieve and duly placed my order via Eoin ( FFC Scotland ) last Friday and received a parcel from Loop Sweden about 11.30 am this morning (Tuesday). Fantastic service and Eoin is a true gent and a pleasure to deal with.
Looking forward to using my new Loop Cross S1 13' #8 and Evotec G4 8-10 reel and wearing my new Rautas lightweight jacket when it rains.
Thank you all again for your advice and recommendations.
Regards and stay safe.

Nice, I consider purchasing the exact same outfit as you, even the jacket. I'm undecided on the 13 ft or the 13"2 travel version. Hope you are able to both test and fish it properly soon - would appreciate a short review!

I like loop stuff, it's a shame the outlets never seems to have much in the way of clothing? Or I have missed it coming up over the months?
If it's the Rautas jacket you're looking for... Rautas LW Hiking Jacket - The Fly Fishing Centre
Depends on what size you need, such as the Lainio is just available in big sizes!

PS. how do I use Loop Activ points, on my account, that I'd forgotten about?

Yes and thank you for the recommendation. Eoin was brilliant and I would have no hesitation in going back to him if/when I need anything else.
The rain dance is part of my daily workout, but not a pretty sight though
He's just opened a new shop in Kelso.
It looks really good.
I was meant to be down at the Loop open day just before lockdown but never made it due to other commitments.

Need to keep away from the shop though as I've far too much gear & could probably open my own Loop store. [emoji2359][emoji23]

Need to sell before I buy.
