River Lochy that enters the orchy near loch awe

Was driving to oban other day past lochan na bi there is a lovely looking river that runs into the orchy i looked it up comes up the lochy river but has no fishing info on any sites as keeps showing the lochy near ben nevis. does anyone no if there is salmon or seatrout in this river or even brown trout or how to get a permit as would be a lovely place to fish for the day up in the hills altho i didnt see one anglar on the water

You will probably find that the reason there is no info on his particular river is because it is "Private Water Fishing".

This does occur on some of the west coast rivers, where landowners refuse permission to outsiders any right to fish on their rivers.

The River Lochy has impassable falls a few hundred meters above it's confluence with the Orchy. There are brown trout in the loch at the top of the system but it's not very productive, the river is a trickle most of the year as the catchment is so small, although not small enough to stop the current hydro scheme that's demolishing the landscape being installed.

Thanks mate maby i seen it just after rain giveing it a false look of decentness i like trying small rivers and streams see what can be found in them so always look for permit or if its free as its in middle of noware info before i give it a go
