Got both, used them a lot, prefer the Scandi RTG myself...but each to their own.

For example, I find the i5-6 easier to fish with than the 246, lest effort to get it to the surface, but pretty sure the fly is fishing at the same depth.

I just think that these newer tapers are better to cast than the older ones. 2D's does the job as well at catching the fish. My starting line usually is either f/h/i or h/i/2, which I think is the best one to find the right pull to the line.

 

I agree with you 100 and some % Brian.
Of all the Guideline sinkers I have a great fondness for the Dual Density sinkers, especially the Hover/Inty, Inty/Sink 1 and Sink1/ Sink2.
They're my "Go To" lines on my std. 14ft/15ft rod n line approach towards fishing a sunk line and flee.
