Does anybody have one of these and if so what do you make of them? What line do you use with it.? I have tried the ****ing handle on a casting day when Henrik was doing some stuff. The handle wouldn't cause me any issue. In fact I must say that after 10 minutes I became quite attached to it. The rod I was chucking though was not this one.

I have a brand spanking new one for sale in the classified section at a brilliant price. Pm me if interested.
Sorry but I can get a brand new one from a dealer cheaper than yours. Do you not like the one you have?
Wow! Whoever is selling you that off the shelf signature is giving you an absolute bargain!

Good luck with your new purchase :)
Good luck with your new purchase :)
I ain't bought it yet. I am gonna pick one up tomorrow to try it. I was trying to get an opinion from someone who had used one. An issue for me us that the lightest head I have is 26g. I was interested to see what line people are pairing the rod up with
Hi, I use one with an 18g Unique head, it matches it perfectly. This is a proper switch rod not a small double hander. Overtired a few switch rods and this is by far the best so far. The signature blanks are superb, I also have the 13 footer and was on the loch practising with it yesterday, superb.
PM me if you want any more info, I'll give you my number if you want to chat about the rod.
Agree with Bankwheel, I would not go overloading the rod, it is purpose built for the lighter heads and the 18gram is recommended, that makes it a perfect tool for its intended purpose which is covering water on small to medium rivers (and if you like the bigger ones in low water). Good luck with it ;) out of interest what lines/rods did you use on the casting day when you tested it?
I did say in my original post that I used a number of Zpey rods but not this one. The heads I was using then were the Zpey that Henrik Mortensen brought with him. I will try the rod tomorrow and make a decision from there

The GLX has gone. The butt section was too short to make it a practical option. I am therefore looking for something else. WHY Mr. Franco? I am sure you will have something in the cave that might suit me :p
Nothing at the minute the cave has been decluttered (a 10ft Le Cie ? A switch rod make not!!) however I'm interested to know how you get on with it. I might be looking for something in the switch line soon.

I have an 11ft 6" Vision Catapult which in fairness is really a very short, very light double hander, rated at 26g. Although for the stupidly short length of the butt you would need a hand like a 7 year old schoolgirl, which of course you do have. This might be on its way out soon. I will let you know.
Try it with the 18g head it is rated for... It is spot on. No need to go heavier and 26g will really not show this rod to its full potential.
HM has got the ratings spot on with the full range.

Thanks for your advice. I was not about to put a 26g head onto a rod rated at 18g in any case.

26g will probably kill the rod mate.

18g spot on, on the rod. 20g maybe, if you like a bit more load.

So, did you buy the rod ?
