On my bucket list. Been to the Manx once which was amazing. Sensational racing. Hope it all works out.

Just read this on the TT Facebook group. Great news for all involved and well done for sorting the mess out.Road racing in Northern Ireland is set to go ahead this year!
It must be motocross sidecars budge. Or short circuits? Not so good for the sidecar racers it seems. Apparently they aren't included in the new insurance policyoversight or intentional omission ?

I'm not sure myself where they race, I didn't think there was any sidecar racing over there. According to a statement released by the Irish sidecar racing club, there should be a four race series which at present won't be going ahead due to not being covered by the insurance policy ? From what I've read they are pretty p####d off about it.It must be motocross sidecars budge. Or short circuits?
We don't have any sidecars racing on the roads here. I know they do some motocross sidecar racing at a local sandpit but I'm not sure what sort of following there is here for short circuit sidecars.
I haven't read anything since. What is the problem? From what I've been reading today it doesn't sound as though the insurance debacle is sorted properly ?

It's to do with the clauses and excesses within the policy. The main ones being if someone makes a successful claim against the organisers they are liable for a huge excess which would bankrupt them. There's also no personal cover for the riders, they have to arrange their own insurance. There's other clauses too, it was quite a long winded article.I haven't read anything since. What is the problem?
