As they say in Kelty,
"Ya hoor Sir, that's some f***ing mess!!!"
After a good replacement job then it's
"Ya hoor Gordon, that's some f***ing difference!!!" :D :D
One of my journeyman serving my time was a fifer. He was a cantankerous old bugger who hated everyone including his fellow fifers.
One day after moaning about some dealings he had in the kingdom he asked me if I knew what Fife stood for?
I said no and he replied
F*cking Idiots F*cking Everywhere
:ROFLMAO:
I must add all my wife's side of my family are fifers and they're lovely people.
Did pish myself laughing though.

I was full of hope today after seeing our mutual pals fish from yesterday and the video of spankers bouncing around the pool. Up the way from your bit and down from mine.

One of his fish was carrying lts!!!
Yeh thought you were on a sure thing today Andy and was jealous of you on the river as I was sweating my balls off.
I wonder if the fish our pal got in about headed up the glen during the night?

The river took an unexpected rise last night. I’ve no idea where it came from.
I only noticed later today or would of been out this morning.
Im just back from a few ours on upper and middle kinnaird.
It was dropping fast and dirty.
My pal dropped a nice sea trout of around a few pounds that was it.
Anyone else catch the lift?
The southie has been dire this season so far.

Did you walk too far doon the beat :ROFLMAO: :p

Cracking fish!
No I bought a ticket for Cortachy.
I actually bought 2 tickets as I went back the next night and nailed another one :ROFLMAO:
It was a scabby fecker though.
They were starting to rot. There were a good few dead fish about.
I seen one dead easy 16lb bottom of dairy pool.

the southesk had ten fish less than its 5yr average last season which was the worst catch figure on record still haven't seen the sea trout figures yet
It's going to be much worse this season if we don't get more rain.
You could count on one hand the amount of days I fished the southie last year because of lack of water.
The Westie was even worse.
I fished it twice all season that was it.
Ive still not wet a line on it this year yet.
Im going to join another club next year as well, as my locals just not getting enough water these days.

Similar story last week. I heard stories about plenty fish further down river, and with 3 lifts of water last week my mate went up Kirrie on Saturday and never saw a thing.
He has fished the beat for nearly 40 years so knows the water and was disappointed with the outcome. The only other angler there that day, which tell its own story, caught a sea trout which was coloured.
Another worrying season
I think there has only been one fish landed in April on our Kirrie beat this season. That's it.
Worst season ever

I think you are right. I know not all fish are reported but still been poor. I've never wet a line yet up there.
No doubt some fish have made it up and lying in some of these deep corners above Gella. 🤞
There were a load of fish in the saw mill dam a while back I managed to winkle out a couple. But there were a load of dead fish through our Cortachy at the time.
So there's some up the glen but has been pish.
worst season since I started salmon fishing.
Im in Teneriefe and only about 5 degrees hotter than back home during the day at the moment.
Could be worse.
The rivers could be in spate
