Made it out from 9 to 10.
Im not convinced theres a fish in the beat.
Water was good height, good colour and no clouds on hills.

Seen my first sparkling seatroot on thursday. Fly spooked it and it jumped out in front of on to my line. Hopefully it had lots of company.

Hail stones, thunder and lightning and bucketing down just now.
Dont think it will be enough though.

Had a cast for seatroot last night.
Never saw a thing.
According to my mate that i was with it was full of fish last week.
He had 2 in an hour and saw lots.
Would have sworn there wasnt a fish in the beat.
As ever the wild flowers on the southie banks are superb.
And a great sky as well.

Was fishing above.
Water was perfect but very quiet.
My mate lost one and had a good pull.
And that was it.

Had a look at the southie on tuesday. Water had been straight over the bank whole length. Didnt seem to be aa bad as expected. Was a new tree in the river above justinhaugh bridge and a bit of land slide at red braes.
Luckily the farmer had recently got rid of his pigs.
