Interesting. Hmmmm.
Looks O.K. to me, I can tell you this much, if it were a Danielsson, the reel would work perfectly, no question.
However, I would have thought it would be simple enough to speak to the Dochfour ghillie who must know who the gear belongs to? I expect that to be the case?
Probably already claimed on insurance, so, then, a conundrum for an honest man?????

They know who it belongs to, I'm sure it'll make its way back to him but not sure how much use it will be after 6 months in the water and bounced downstream 6kmInteresting. Hmmmm.

If it's for sentimental reasons he wants it returned, and he hasn't had it for 6 months, then, what does it matter?They know who it belongs to, I'm sure it'll make its way back to him but not sure how much use it will be after 6 months in the water and bounced downstream 6km

Hmmm. This happened to me with my wallet once. Got it back 6 months later, but the £10'er in it was gone.
I'd be asking questions of the guy that handed it in.....
