They do look the part Gary, best rivet style tubes I've seen in fact. I tried quite a few crimps before settling on the ones I use now, did you test many types of rivets before deciding, there must be hundreds out there? Any particular rivets you would recommend?
Cheers Howard. I've played with Pop Rivets for years and was then reminded by a recent post from Woodsy. I ordered some new ones as I could not find any in the garage. I bought these

Stainless Steel 12mm x 3mm


Aluminium 15mm Black 15mm x 3,2mm


The standard 1.8mm liners fit perfectly. They both have a nice weight even the Ali. I might order some of the slimmer ones.

How are they to lift out of the water gwelsher? Can't beat a red butt for an all round fly
Red Butt copied from your recent post. Haven't tried them yet JP but the flange at 5mm is not too big so should be no more problem than something like a Future Fly Hybrid cone.
