Somebody has suggested they don’t travel far up river, well I’ve seen them at least 5 mile up river.

Up here on the Don and Dee the furthest they were observed was about 8-9 miles as the crow flies.

I suppose the character of the river will dictate the distance to some point. The Dee is like a super highway in all but the very lowest of levels that far down.
