Hi all.
A question for a friend who fishes mainly on the ribble with very limited back cast. I'd be really grateful if anyone could recomend a skagit line to suite the orvis silver label 14ft 9/10 mid flex....
Although the rod's rated 9/10, myself (poor caster) and Jim (good caster) find a 9/10 spey line or double taper simply will not load it so need to use an 11.
A cortland 444 11DT works well, as does a rio mainstream VersiTip 10/11 short head spey line.

I have the Orvis Trident 14' #9 and find the Airflo Skagit 660g works very well indeed.

Out of interest, do you find that your trident works well with #9 lines or do you find #10 or 11 better.

#10 lines go better - the 9/10 AFS also goes well.
