Looking to line my above rod with an all round floater that'll handle polys. Currently on my old Power Taper distance cut and while it does a job, the wow factors a little conspicuous by its absence.I'm thinking an Airflo Scandi Long in 570 or 600 grains as the compact version lights up on my wee Zenith.
Any ideas or recommendations please.

I find Guideline 3Ds or Scandis in 37grams are fine with this rod. I know some people prefer a few grams more.

To load the nt8 9/10 perfectly I would advise using 40g shooting head with a rio 10 ft tip is perfect. Hope this helps

Great rod sir,will throw lighter lines when needed ,8/9 or 9/10 rio intouch scandi outbound,i also use nextcast 8/9 heads ,salmon finder 45 with 10’ tips.They are very versatile,just keep close to their top numbers,40grams or 600 g is the most imo.Cheers John.

It can also cast spey lines. Gaelforce spey 54ft 9/10 goes very well on the rod.

Personally I use the Galefore line for most of my floating work and then 4D for higher water levels

I'm wondering that too, I seem to recall Phil Black saying he'd fished a Skagit set up on one, but I could be wrong and I can't find the thread where he said that.

I've tried it on the 13'9" 8/9. I Fished a 550 grain head with various tips in very windy conditions and it was a very comfortable set-up
