Yes but then he pointed out I'd done it on the wrong arm and then promptly took out a court order preventing me going within 200m of him in future :p:D
How did you find his casting stroke and distance achieved? Was he using light heads? What length rod? Would love to see him cast in the flesh and quiz him.
Did any crippled people touch him then walk?

Did he walk on the water as well??:D:D

Did he smell nice?:D
looks like he's crashed his anchor!! well were all a bit rusty at the start of the new season:rolleyes:
More like a pole vaulter :)
How was his casting? - it was everything you see on his DVDs to be perfectly honest  Distance wasn't an option with the very poor conditions. But it's all about the presentation (which you'd know if you watched DVD no.2 at 12 minutes and 43 seconds) ;)

Did he smell nice? - yes very. I asked him about that and he said he prefers the new Lenor Infusion range when doing his laundry.

He did also get stuck on the bottom once but instead of walking across the water surface I as thought he would he simply parted the waters, had one of his lackies retrieve the fluff then carried on.....

That's me sold.

Anyone else want to join "The Church Of The Latter Day Henrik"..?:D:D
More important than his odour and miraculous abilities in the eyes of many here, did you ask him why in Gods name did he come up with a blue blank:confused: Makes the loop yellow line look conservative:)

I think I'd need welders goggles to cast that all day:rolleyes:

Criticising our Lord? we'll have you strung up for blasphemy!!;):D
Perhaps someone should have mentioned the 'elephant in the room', why the funny handle Henrik old boy - what real advantage does it offer someone with good technique using a straight handled rod? Maybe I'm missing something.

Stop yer stirring...:p
We know you don't like it or don't agree with it - each to their own. Personally I have always liked and, after chatting with him about it, I now like it even more :)
I suppose with the handle design being their signature, it is nigh on impossible for them to even consider supply their rods with the traditional straight handle. Seems a pity though as their blanks are highly regarded - wonder how many potential punters are actually put off by the handle design. I notice the handles have become less offset over the years........maybe Henrik will end up going straight. :)
Seems a pity though
To whom
Henrik actually commented that after working and using the offset handle for so long now he would never go straight again :eek::cool:

Proof of the pudding will be a mid/long term assessment - will Zpey be around in 5 years time?

You could always get the switch rod with screw in handle and make a straight version to suit yourself. Would be an easy job:)

Watch how quickly he will if Zpey either fold or simply drop him !
I did think about that but didn't ask him.....

I would say without doubt they will be around as they are up there with the best and very innovative and forward thinking.

For me I would think the advantage in the handle would be in the setup, it makes the caster more inclined to be focused on keeping the rod in a constant plane when forming the D loop and also when initiating the forward stroke, plus it sticks out a bit more for underhand work and may encourage a caster to develop more underhand. After lessons I don't think I need that anymore, but I would imagine that a Zpey rod would have helped me to get there sooner, and even still help me out on an off day!

Tried a switch Zpey with the handle and was not put off by it in the slightest, it should not really affect a good caster and would improve a learner, whats not to like?:)

is this yet another possible definition for a switch rod, ie one where you can switch handles...........
