After a long break I’m getting back into fly fishing. I’m hoping to get out a bit in 2019 after salmon and sea trout, most likely South Wales rivers and possibly a jaunt up to the Tyne later on in summer. Cheers, Luke..
Welcome to the Forum where you'll find all manner of wit, wisdom, nonsense and all else besides. Never be afraid to ask because in salmon fishing there's no such thing as a stupid question. You'll need a thick skin and a good sense of humour on here, but don't be deterred.

Thanks all for the welcome, MCXFisher; the blog is really informative, thanks! Re fishing in Wales; it always amused me how you have to pay to get into Wales but not to get out!! One side of my family is pretty much Welsh so I won't feel too bad about coming over and pestering your fish!! Just back from trying a new shooting head on my old Scott with a grass leader.. seems like i'm at the bottom of a very steep learning curve!
Welcome, don't ignore the fishing closer to home. Hampshire and Dorset are well worth a go for Salmon and sea Trout.
And no Welsh to put up with. LOL.
Tight lines.
