Some of you on here may remember the terrible injuries suffered by my springer at the start of this year when she went crashing through undergrowth. The total cost at the end of all the treatment, which included 5 days stay in hospital, was £6550 of which £4000 was covered by my insurance.
So note to self, increase my insurance cover.

Head Human body Fawn Snout Scar

Anyway the recovery has been remarkable and apart from her extensive belly scars she appears to be back to her normal rascally self as can be seen in the photo at our salmon hut this morning in her throw it again Dad pose.

Best thread I've read for a while, chuffed to bits for both you and your wee cracker.
Having lost three dogs in the last 6 Months, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Think I've shed more tears over animals than I ever will humans...
Anyway ,onward and upwards Willow, keep that tail wagging. Superb news Ourtrev, you must be so relieved 👍

I'm always happy when someone tells a positive recovery story and even more so when we are talking about our four legged friends. I'm sure she was so happy to be there with you and can tell so by the photo :)

Brilliant news. So glad she’s made such a great recovery and is looking so good. It’s 4 weeks today since I lost my best boy of 12 and half years He was a black and white springer with a heart of a lion but with a clown’s temperament. Still heartbroken but it’s cheered me up seeing what a wonderful recovery she’s made after seeing your original post. 👍

You have my sympathies. These dogs have a way of getting to our hearts don't they. Glad my Willow has given you a lift. 🐶
