If we can get private messaging to work we can organise it there? How much for stud?
Ok but money wasnt gonna be involved. If you'd like your more than welcome to come for a shot some sunday and see for yourself? I just can get messages to work for some reason.I will give using a 1 season dog as stud a miss ....it is everything I despise about the dog world especially gun dogs its all about money
I know exactly what you mean. Selective breeding is important too. This is mainly for future references if he ever does want to breed his dog. Iv also offered for him to see my dog work. Upto the owner of the female to decide when time suits. Hes only young so im in no hurry at all. Iv 1 waiting in line for him after this season for him already.I can only hope you are at the wind up?
Perhaps it's different for you lads with gundogs but me being a lurcher man I wouldn't dream of using a dog for stud unless it had proved itself in the field, that in my opinion would take at least 3 seasons hard graft.
Black is alot harder to see at night obviously. if your in cover or a hide and doing it properly you could have a pink dog it makes no difference the colour.Having done a lot of duck flighting at night, I would never have a black dog for that use. They really do stand out like a sore thumb in the dark against many winter backgrounds, whereas a yellow Lab will be far more difficult to see.
In daylight I suspect that it generally makes no difference.
Just outside of clonmel s.tipp and nope tried 2 large ponds also nothing on any of them. I don't fire at snipe either. That's a great looking Tipp Bowler AS....where is the pic taken?
You should have snipe and duck by age flatness of that landscape - or have the EU grants drained all of the bogs?
Yes I sometimes run the dogs out there. I fished it a few years ago there was a very good pool just behind the house where an old weir once was. The suir fished well last season anyways.I asked where as I used to fish around your part of Tipp...mainly at Knocklofty and Landscape. Caught my biggest ever salmon at the top of Knocklofty - just below the road bridge....but that was back in about 1967!
