What a great fish! I've released a couple myself in about that same spot, but not the likes of that one... The top of my head looks like that too. A nice tweed cap would have made the picture even better...
Certainly does , a proper Springer, it has got that prominent line of pure silver on its flank to approx 1" above the lateral line and darker shade just above, the same as the first Bywell fish off the Tyne that has been deemed a Rawner ? Thread 150 on Tyne 2018
The fish hasn't been held out of the water long for the photo as water still dripping off it :thumbup:
Cracking fish, and a beautiful beat to fish, been there a few time with Springers party had one from the same spot, a few years back, but only 10lbs. Well done.
