As it says above…. Heading off with a few of the lads next week to Denmark for a few days for the first time. Will be staying at Skjern Å Lodge, just outside Tarm. Anyone ever been, particularly at the backend that can offer any advice or insight into the area and the tactics? Is it wadeable or all bank fishing? Anything in particular fly wise we need? Any particular sections worth focussing the efforts on? Decent pubs 😆?! Anything in the area worth visiting while we are there?

Local flies are easily available, flashy red and orange popular, barbless hooks mandated (ok to pinch barbs down). Can be very windy, so as suggested something quick to sink. No wading (too deep). Normally plenty of fish but I note last year was catch and release. Locals always helpful but there will be Germans and others around as well. Salmon and sea trout, useful to have a spinner as well, they will often spin from upstream.
Great tackle shop in Skjern although not cheap.

I went regularly in spring (before heading up to Norway), fished the lower Skjern and Omme Ä. As mentioned, short rods, sinking lines and no wading. Did well with weighted banana flies and frances. I'd guess the fish are more upstream and up in the tributaries by this time of the year. Tight lines.
