Plenty of water about, most rivers rising, possibly too much? Wind is a nightmare, don't like storms they tend to damage things.

It’s a bit sh1t here just now.
Tide is already over half a metre higher than predicted high water height.
And that‘s still over 2 hours away.
May have to move my car later.

It’s going to be uncomfortable and noisy when it swings into the west and increases later.

Long night ahead.

That's an impressive tidal curve variance, I hope there were no ill effects. We had our boat lifted ashore in Clyde Marina which seems to be in the path of the worst of the weather.

The north Tyne has seen a good rise in water whilst the south only has a modest lift and if it wasn't for the wind may have been fishable later today. Leaves may be a problem until the wind drops and the river flushes them out.

Overall it could have been a lot worse for this area.

Three inches of rain in the last 12 hours in the Ure catchment, where the river is currently up 9 feet and rising. The wind has been at 50knots and more for 8 hours and will remain at that level until lunchtime tomorrow. Probably not a good idea to venture out on the road between Leyburn and Hawes.

The extreme dry summer has rendered a lot of soil very friable, so tree fall is likely to be worse than normal.

Trees still being in full leaf make early storms more damaging.
Dry soil compounding top heavy trees with all the wet foliage which acts like a sail.
Not seen any trees blown over with us. Plenty of broken branches though.
Plenty of clearing up to be done no doubt.
Will have a wander around our fields later for a look see.

We had heavy rain on Thursday and the river got higher from that than it did yesterday during the storm.

On Thursday, the river peaked at 3.5 meters. Yesterday it got to 2.7 m.

The highest wind gust recorded in Northern Ireland was at the coast where I do my sea fishing. 92 mph recorded at Magilligan. I think Malin Head in the Republic of Ireland also recorded a gust of 92 mph.

No real damage where I live by the looks of things but I haven't been on the roads yet. Im sure there'll be trees down somewhere.
