Fished Fochy Angling Association water last weekend and managed to catch this beauty on an orange flamethrower near the end of the day. Spey seems to be fishing well for me this season, with 2 cracking fish in 4 days (month apart). Like us all we are fishing hard constantly but it’s doing OK. Think we’re a month behind and now in a period of dryness but tight lines to us all in the weeks ahead 🎣

I might manage a few days next week did you see many fish?
Theres some depth to that fish, a really good looking beastie.

Shug that day we saw maybe 2 all day and then at 6pm we saw a pod and then the take. Regularly seeing fish move these days at around 3pm or 6pm. Regardless of river. Is that a temp thing?
Thanks for the info Chris very interesting about the temp theory I've fished various bottom beats on rivers and I've seen grilse run even when the tide is at its lowest backs out of the water stuff pretty amazing to witness.

Just shows when Salar wants to run there's no stopping them.
