Question asked by me! Explained by Dexter - Polyleader's are plastic coated nylon tapered and impregnated with a lead or tungsten to make them sink at various rates,tapered leaders are just nylon or similar tapered(not coated).

Just wondering what the consensus is on tungsten tube. In the most common OD of 3.0mm for tube flies, it weighs around 0.75gm/cm. A fly on 1.0cm of tube will fish well below the surface even in very strong flows. On 2-3cm it's a depth-finder.
