    Out on the Tweed today. Changed fly and flicked the new one out whilst stripping line for a proper cast. (I was on the bank). A swirl - close to the bank - and a salmon shoved his complete head out...absolutely vertically then slid back on the same vertical path. I watched it drift down...

    why do so many not use a net when fishing C&R? If your killing a fish. Ok. But if releasing why drag the fish up the bank side, through vegetation, rocks gravel and grab it by the wrist sometimes head to get hook out? Its going to harm the fish and lots will die later. This you see on Russia...
