I'll be writing a full report on J1W in due course, but in summary I had a most enjoyable week on the Coul beats on the Conon. I hooked and lost a lot of soft mouthed grilse (5), but successfully landed a sound 8 pounder and a very plump grilse.Pretty water at a good heightThursdayFriday...

This will be interesting for anyone who hasn't seen how a scale is read. The fish was from the Conon on Monday and weighed 12.5lbs. As an aside, with L.T.S.L.

Last Saturday I failed to secure and lost my Simms wading staff whilst fishing the upper Conon , I was fishing in fast water and had no chance of chasing it saftly . I know this is a long shot but if anyone finds it will they please let me know , there is a reward for it's return. I lost it...
