Sometimes they speak.. buy me buy me! Then they sit on your desk for ages while you think why did I buy them? Eventually an idea comes along.
What do you think?

I came across these Rio line products on Sportfish site , the appearance is identical and the only difference on the wording is the word Body , the lines have a different spec, if using Rio tips which of these lines gives is a better overall balance , or can they be used on both ,
A good friend swears by using green flies in the summer and having seem how many fish he catches, I'm prepared to give it a go. This is a copy of what he uses, as you can see nothing too groundbreaking! Really liking using softer hen hackles to give a bit more body to the fly. For the body I am...
Curry's Red, Bann Special and a more subtle thing without JC which is great on those bright low water days - it's recipe is:

I wasted more mallard there one day trying the Fiery Brown from Chris Mann's book.
I then thought that those dull colours used for that pattern might make for a nice dull Irish shrimp.

Here´s few more.. with Monkey wing. I use these in Northern- Norway in summer, when water is on the normal level. Two kinda Samurais, and close up for the body color set up, which has worked really well
So after a couple of attempts I created a body that I like last night going from photo 1 to photo 2 with smaller wing area and slightly shorter throat. I also didn't like the flattened body hackle and so on advice stood it back up.
I'm not sure about the wing though. Should the built wing...
