How much are members cutting off the front of the AFS float to improve turnover with tips ? And also, can a loop be welded afterwards ? I've had trouble trying to weld floating lines in the past. Any advice appreciated.

Replacing a old AFS floating line. Noticed you can still get this line, however there is a Rio scandi which looks like it may be its replacement? What is the difference between these lines? Are they different at all?

Ok, I was planning on loading up my newly acquired rod with a 9/10 afs floater which weighs in at 38g, the recommended weight for this rod. Seeing as this line has been superceded by the Rio scandi shooting head I am unsure which line to choose. There are 2 options and neither of them are 38g...

Hello, I’m after a new Rio Scandi short line for my 13ft 8wt, but, can I use the 10ft tips that came with my old Rio AFS instead of buying a whole kit? Is there anything special about the versitips or are they just a versi/Polyleader? Cheers Ben
