On average how much years of line should I put on a normal sized spinning reel for salmon I put 110 yard spool on but not sure that's enough just for small spate rivers

The amount it takes to fill your spool up, casting is a lot easier with a full spool than a half full spool

Always fill the spool to the maximum it’s better for casting.

110 yards should be ample for a small spate river. If a fish takes that amount of line in a typical spate river is it almost certainly a goner.

But as others have said filling the reel to the lip is important for casting range. So underneath your 110 yards join it to some substantial backing to bring the line to the correct level on the spool.
