The lens distorts the perspective a bit, but was that the Upper part of Black Strand?

Fly was about 3inch long black purple with pink eyes intruder with single hook
Lost the fish because it had been rubbing the nylon on the rocks only 6 inches left from the sink tip left and it was well frayed . 23lb seguar .
