I tried the sharpes bb swivels a few years back and found them absolute rubbish, very poorly made, Imo.

Only decent ones seem to be either the ones spintec make and sell or if you can get old stock. The new shapes ones can be really hit and miss.

I am still using old stock as I bought 50 when I heard they were stopping.
Never had an old one fail and they have fought some Wye beasts, pity to hear about the new ones.

Impossible to say without knowing the reel and braid.
You will need to check the diameter of the braid and the capacity of the spool.
You do not need more than 100 metres of braid, back out the spool with some 20lb mono.
When you load the braid put the spool in a tub of water and the wind it on. This will get the braid to seat more evenly.

So not having used braid before would 300 metres fill the reel?
Should top off 2 spools. You are better off half filling the spool with thick mono.
