Hi All,
Just returned from a foray up to the Western Isles, it became a very "fluid week" in more ways than one - the reason for my post is a gentleman on the forum very kindly sent me half a dozen or so flies to try ...... (at very very short notice may I add) pictured below shows some of their success in the brackish estuary water and a couple of pools above the sea pool. a cracking "slob Trout" which gave a very good account of itself together with a couple of beautiful wee silver chasers amongst many "cuddies and wee sea trouts" .
I will not name the forum member, in fact I have never met him but I can assure you he is a true gent... it's what the forum is all about and long may it continue.

The Slob Trout (Horrible name for a wonderful fish)

One of the Silver Chasers - wonderful little grilse

Many thanks to the man for the flies - they truly worked a treat, many thanks

Next year I hope to catch up with you again Malcolm.
Mibees even back in the old haunting ground on the West Coast.
I miss the home brew and the fantastic roasts badly.:)

I'd love to get a fish from an estuary...tried for 100's of hours without joy.
Sounds like a great trip...that slob is a reet dazzler
