Hi All,

I live a fair distance from the above, but was thinking of going for grayling tomorrow.
Firstly, the river is up a bit but is it gonna be fishable? Any locals in here?
Secondly, which is the best day ticket stretch for grayling fishing?

Gary.

Grayling

The Dee appears to be very high at the moment, probably unfishable.

NRW River Levels Station Monitoring

Always liked Bala Anglers and have had a few lumps over the years, its further to go though if travelling from distance. Should clear quicker if no more rain, day ticket is £12.50 and they have a few stretches Home

My dear old Dad used to say that the higher up the Dee you go the bigger the Grayling get. I would agree, no doubt others will have their preferences.

llangollen maelor is an excellent beat to fish for grayling.Today the level at manley hall is 1.19 m an ideal fly fishing height would be between .550 and .750. You can get a day ticket from Watkins and Williams hardware shop in llangollen. I have been a member for best part of 40 years if you want more specific information don't hesitate to pm me.
