Great photos, some stunning scenery there when the weather is good.

The roads look amazingly quiet, I guess it was either out of season or early before the coach loads of tourists appeared !

Weather makes the difference for sure. It was first or 2nd week september, 15 years ago, before the NC500 ruined it.

Did a similar 2 day trip a few years ago, Oct 2015 I think. Drove from Kendal to Ullapool the first day, via Mallaig, Skye & Applecross.
Day 2 was Ullapool, Scourie, Cape Wraith, Altnaharra then back home... Some pics from day 2

Some stunning scenery and photos. Been up there in car a few times but I haven't got further than Ayrshire on the bike. Was all set to do it this year but never made it due to covid the weather makes all the difference to a trip like that.
I had a Mille R myself a good few years ago, the earlier version though. Great bike let down by a few niggling faults, Ohlins fork seals, sprag clutch, water in clocks and a dinged frame after it toppled off the dodgy sidestand to name a few lol.

You need to get up there mate, let me know if you need any routes as i can help with the best roads etc.

I had a black/red mille r and wrote it off at 5 weeks old, hit a small stone with my knee down and washed out the front, not a scratch or bruise and this was at about 80mph. Bought the bike back of insurance and converted it to track only, had some good fun on it. Had 3 Aprilias at one time as can be seen in pics. I now have an old Futura, a couple of RC8R's and a BMWRT1200 for touring on. Not thrown a leg over a bike this year due to covid, hopefuly make up for it next year though. An extra 1 .5 horsepower in bottom pic

Only managed about 2000 miles myself this year as opposed to my usual 6 to 8 thousand

I sold my MV a couple of years ago, stunning bike and really attracted attention, limited edition in a matt black stealth look

Beautiful bikes and wonderful engineering but I would not get on one for a pension.
Too many people get killed on them through no fault of their own.
