Know the man working in it, great little shop and will order in for you if they don't have stock. Loyalty points system as well and just yesterday I picked up a Guideline pouch wallet for £13.50 using points.

Good prices. However, I ordered a line from them before Christmas and despite what the website said; it clearly wasn’t a stock item and only arrived 3 weeks later. Nothing to do with Christmas rush.

I doubt you’d have the same issue with bucktail.

Sorry to hear that. There’s probably a CV-19 factor at work too, or maybe they’re having to stalk the deer first.....

I think a lot of small operators scale up the web site and sales side of the business without scaling up the infrastructure, in particular stock control.

On the other hand, there’s probably not one business in the land that hasn’t let somebody down and it’s almost bound to happen at some point. GAC sending me the wrong Polaroid’s the day before a trip, AA leaving the tapered leaders to sunbathe....

At least you’ll have plenty to tie when they do arrive.

I have to say, serious fishing/outdoors are a fantastic outfit and a shop with a massive range of gear and salmon fishing knowledge.

Our post over here has been awfull, taking 3 or 4 weeks at times, so I assume outgoing post has the same delay.

Old story..The owner of the shop use to work in a shop in Belfast (Braddells) I use to visit when younger. I called in looking jungle cock not aware of the cost and rarity, I must had been about 13 or 14. They didn't stock it but he said come back tomorrow and he will sort me out. I got the bus into town the next day and he gave me about a third of his own JC cape for free. I thought that was a lovely gesture to help out a keen teenager. That was 20 years ago, I haven't forgot that and will drop into the shop anytime I'm near Ballymena now

Bought my first ever Double hander and reel from Braddells in Belfast. Was such a shame to see the store go.

It was a real joy to visit the shop, the best stocked shop around. I also liked visiting Tommy McCutchins and hearing about his days at Carnroe. Out of the four tackle shops i knew in Belfast only the one remains ?

not great I can accept the current situation causing delays but what I find really annoying is the fact they let me order when it physically was not in stock
I specifically ordered there as the hareline tails are always good , now I've had to order emergency supplies as I've other items that would have been dyed at the same time rather than dyeing a bit here an there
frustrating

I also appreciate the current situation and there may be delays in sending an order.
I think in future when ordering from a supplier, I will phone and confirm the item is physically in the shop.
The internet site states in stock, though on ordering I didn’t hear anything when I enquired I was informed it was out of stock.
I still haven’t received a part order.
I will use my usual suppliers in future.

Hi Wormo.
I’m waiting on a shirt which I thought they had sent part order, unfortunately they sent another item which I wasn’t bothered about and had already cancelled.
You couldn’t make it up, all you get is standard response when you email.
I may request a refund but based on my previous experience, it maybe a drawn out process to get it back.

Is that seriousfishing.com?
On the trout forum I got mostly negative reviews, my own experience wasn't great either, 4 weeks waiting on spare spools, I emailed 3/4 times with no reply so started a PayPal dispute and got a refund.

I've only ever ordered from them once. Someone on the forum mentioned that the guideline bullet heads were on offer.

I ordered online but got an email not long after to say they had none in stock and offered me another line, can't remember which one, at a reduced price.

I declined and asked for a refund which I got almost right away.

A bit disappointed they didn't have the line but no complaints about the service.

Ordered a few items all in stock order by 2pm dispatch same day - great - had 10 days until I go fishing, then get an email delayed. Not in stock - asked which items missing as some are more critical than others - just got a generic response without any information I asked for. Sounds like I'll have to open a paypal dispute. Going fishing Friday so not going to get them in time.
