Seen a few mesel mate bright silver ?I’ve seen a good few Very clean fish over last day or two !
Sure gets his fair share of fish this lad. Well done graham another cracking day for you ??Had a bit of fine sport on my upper mid river beat this morning. 3 nice hen salmon. Was fishing deep with a 10ft fast sink tip. Looks like one of them was very lucky and has survived a close encounter with possibly a seal? A very nasty wound across the top of its head and a gash on the gill plate. Also a chunk out the bottom of its tail. All swam off strongly to go and make more salmon for us to catch in a few years.
Epic battle mate wow wish I had someone to help landing it lol cheers mate ?That's a belter

Lost 2 salmon today both cock fish around 10lbs+ each.....then had this fish of a lifetime sea-trout easily 14lbs+ absolutely blown away. An epic battle on a 7/8 rated switch rod. The fish took a half inch copper tube on a fast tip pattern was a red flamethrower GET IN THERE!!!. the wear what a little gem man
Cheers mate had 2 chances today dropped them both. Did absolutely nothing wrong but thats just the way it goes 5 salmon in a row dropped nowBelter mate, well done. The salmon will come.

Classic salmon takes mate little nudge and a steady draw from the reel. Give it a couple of seconds clamped the reel tight took a couple of steps backwards and really tighned into both of them. Slow lift of the rod and both were played for a couple of mins then just a slack line....guttedYep I know the feeling mate, I'm well into double figures for lost fish this year ? ?
Water seems to be sticking at a decent level so keep at them mate.

Cracking sea trout Lewis. Well done and as others have said a salmon won't be far behind it lying in your net. Persistence paysView attachment 50988

Well in mate! I had a 6lbs chub at escomb this season also mate. Again well done ??Another good day today , lost a salmon missed one and had a really nice hen fish and a clonking chub must have been 7lb +
My net is 28” across just u can gauge the size of the chub !
Lovely fish ??Had another session today as the water was still a good height if a little clear. Always a little harder to tempt them the clearer it gets. Anyway managed to get two to make a mistake... but it was hard work. A small cock fish and a nice fat hen. Both swam off briskly to continue on with their journey to the spawning redds.
Those Rub a Dub's are a result of the Signal Crayfish.Good for the Chub/Barbel angler but very unfortunate for the river as a whole.Nowt a lump of a Rub a Dub enjoys better than crunching on a Crayfish!
Pedro.
