I was in the same position and I bought a #9 body!
I use it with the original #8 tips.
Having both gives me a choice, nice to have the option.

I use the Rio connect core for my ssvt.

I used to use grip shooter & hated it.

Nope but that’s just my own personal opinion.
Think my connect core is .42 or something & a lot better handling.

Still throwing over 100ft of line on a 12ft 8w & happy enough with that.
