Nice to come home and have had nice conditions for our 3 days, with everyone catching.

Some nice clean fish there mate. Quite surprised there’s no sea trout in amongst that lot on the Northie?

The tail on the fish in pic 11 seems huge compared to the rest of the fish. I get that with the fish loosing a load of weight but the tail also looks to have black speckles on it. Like a pinky.
Now I’m not saying it’s a pinky or having a go at the fish. I think Andys had a fantastic few days. I’m just curious.
Is that just breeding colours coming through?
I don’t remember seeing this before

Reminded me of a Clyde fish, we seem to get some long lean fish that haven't quite grown into there tails :) fish was guesstimated at 10lb

Regards seatrout Andrew b, think we had 3 in total. But we didn't fish into the evening. First night I hooked 4 salmon, landed 3 in 1hr and a half. Finished at 7:30pm. Only night fished after 6pm And so the bonanza began 😁. Plenty young wiper snappers liking the fly though.

Morphie. Was nice to be rewarded, we've all been away and hoped for that red letter trip. Now hope they'll all be like that.

I was on Balmakewan a week past Monday.
Only one fish for me for the 3 days, lost 2 others.
Water was perfect on Monday but dropped away & the bright sunshine didn’t help.

Another few fish lost fir the others as well.

The week before there was fish getting caught everywhere.
Think Pert had 60/70 for the week.

Always the same when we go away,
It’s either should have been here last week or should have waited till next week

We never seen many fish, by morphie standard. Up at the dyke I could probably count on 1 hand the amount of fish seen in 3 days. Seen a few further down early doors but later in the day nothing showed at all. But we were still catching.

Didn’t seem to be the same head of fish that should have been there but still fish about.

We had a couple of good fish lost & one estimated at 20lb & fresh.

I lost a good fish around 10lb on the bugs & it was gleaming.

Had a wee try at the bugs myself, also the bomber, no more the a hour of each. But worth a try 😁
