Hi, can anyone explain the statement “ Not open to further replies” found at the bottom of what appears to be new posts. Does it mean the item has been sold , sorry for the inane question, thanks in advance

Hi, this is because all classified sales are by private message only, so classified threads are closed automatically. If you’d like to buy something, just click on the seller’s username, and ’start conversation.’ Welcome to the forum!

Thanks for asking this question. I assumed it was because the items were already sold

could it not be possible for the original poster /seller to edit to mark as sold , would make things easier ?

they should already be able to do that by editing the post - is it not working? Late now but I can have another look at the settings tomorrow...

Yip, as above still no option to edit post. Thing is having to report it to add a sold sign is only adding to the admin team work load , we can edit our own posts.

It will only work with posts after today, now that Kirsty has tweaked it.So old posts will still be the same.
