A lovely day with warm sunshine and just a slight breeze so have been out again to the park and the cafe. Met up with Wendy and her dog for a chat and then saw Wendy again when she came back to do some shopping. Mrs Mac is in the garden and has washed the summer house ready for it being repainted.
The weather looks ok for the rest of this week so will probably be able to get out again. Mrs Mac is going down to Hampshire on 17th October to visit her brother and family so my carer lady will be coming on the 18th, 19th and 20th to make sure I'm ok.
We are having our flu jabs on Saturday 2nd October, all being well...............no news about a booster jab as yet.

Another bright, sunny day at 20C with just a slight breeze so have been out to the park and the cafe. Met up with Wendy and her dog Toby and lots of people I don't know said hello. The car park was very busy and was almost full up although I didn't see many people around the shops. The decorator is coming on Monday to paint the hall and another painter is coming on Tuesday to repaint the summerhouse. Next week looks very wet with rain on most days.

Drama in the Gaula household yesterday morning, Mrs Gaula
fell in the on suite and demolished the shower, lucky she only
Sustained minor scrapes. plumber came in to access the damage,
think we will get away with just new sliding doors.

A dry morning here but overcast, more visitors coming today,
also nurse coming to 're dress my wound.

Leg is still quite stiff .

Oh dear..............I do hope Mrs G is ok. Showers can be replaced but wives are a different matter. This is one reason why I'm not allowed to use a shower and have to be accompanied in the bath............showers are slippery. Hope all goes well for Mrs G, you and the shower!!

Wet feet and wooden floors are lethal too. I have had proper "up in the air and land horizontal" falls twice.

Once getting ready for a night out, the soles of my feet ran over the gripper rods at the bathroom door. Lots of blood but bandaged them up and still went out !

Second time shortly after keyhole surgery on both knees in a wooden floored hallway, thankfully no damage to the knees.

Showers should really have effective non-slip flooring.

Another nice, sunny day although a bit windy. Nevertheless I have been to the park and the cafe for 30 minutes. Didn't see anyone I know. Forecast to be fine and sunny on Friday with less wind so will go out again as it's good to get some fresh air.

Yet another fine day with a bit of breeze but ok to go out to the cafe and the park for 30 minutes. Saw Wendy and dog Toby and met up with Michael who sold us the bungalow and then moved down the street to a smaller property. I don't see Michael very often so we had a good chat for 15 minutes. Then went to my hairdressers and gave them a wave to keep in their good books!!
Mrs Mac is in the garden sanding down the wooden summerhouse ready for painting. Looks like being fine and warm on Saturday so will probably go out again. Hope Gaula and Mrs Gaula are ok!!

Hi Mac, yes, we are as well as can be expected, Mrs Gaula hasn't fell again,
My leg still remains quite stiff at the joint, and swollen further down, despite
doing exercises, walking and rest, as instructed. I suppose it is early days yet,
so should no expect too much.

It turned out quite a nice day here, some sunshine and a breeze, but
not at all cold.
I have been walking outside, on the road linking our house to our neighbours
as I find it far better than in the house.

Dull and overcast but at least it's dry so will probably go out to the park in a while with a visit to the cafe for a small latte. Pleased to hear that Gaula and Mrs Gaula are surviving but take care!!

A dry cloudy morning here today, with no breeze,

Have been out for a short walk to get joints moving,

Mrs Gaula is away with her pal for a run to Melrose, and to
also drop in on relatives in Selkirk.

A dry bright morning here today, quite mild too.
Not much happening , doing exercises, walking,
the sun has got through now so could be a nice day.
Cloudy and dull first thing but the sun has come out and it's brightened up so have been out for a ride for 20 minutes to the park and a short sit. Saw Wendy and dog Toby. Wet all next week so won't be going out much.............will see how it goes.

Very wet overnight in Cheshire. Still is.

Looks like it must have been very wet in the borders as well.
First water in the Nith for months. :D

We had heavy rain earlier this morning but it seems to have cleared and it's now sunny with some blue sky. Not going out as we have the decorators in doing the hall so I'm trapped in my office doing crosswords and watching TV.

Well it's stayed dry and is still sunny with blue sky. We now have a pale blue hall and it looks very nice. They are coming again tomorrow to do the doors. I might get out tomorrow as it's not going to rain until mid-afternoon. We are both going for our flu jabs on Saturday and it looks like being fine so we won't get wet!!

Yes, thanks for asking Mac, we are both managing quite well, my
leg is still sore, but swelling is down slightly.

My wife's friend, who has been staying with us for the past 2 weeks, is
going away up to Jura for a few days tomorrow, but another friend is
coming to stay for a while to help out in case Mrs Gaula has a fall
etc, as I am of no use at the moment.

Very heavy showers here a while ago, but no wind, seems quite mild.
I am going to do some of my exercises now.

Still no rain and it's bright and sunny but rain forecast later. You seem to be well organised!!
