Ah well, not to be. Unsurprisingly with the sudden thaw, flooded off.

Think a lot of rivers will be the same for a while with the mild temps forecast.

Stu sent us some pics and vids from Canterland first thing. Never seen the Gauge so big.
pity sepas gauges were out of action ,but more concerning what damage to last season's Redd's on rivers last night and weather warnings for more flooding today

Yup, exactly what was going through my mind in the shower this morning. Dee was over 10ft first thing and the Tay 15ft and still rising.

Very similar conditions that caused Stork Frank. Mild conditions melting a shed load of snow coupled with rain on top. :(

absolutely correct look at the salmon fishing after storm Frank is it a few years before we know the damage to stocks after all this

It will be. Last season was the last one where SF's effects were likely to be felt.

At least this big spates isn't as vicious as SF was.

You guys really think this big spate has damaged the redds?
We've just got over storm Frank.
Frank pushed all the rivers into the fields. That's no happened yet has it?
Thats all we bloody need.
