Article in today's Guardian ( Scotland Section) is an interview with the new head of SEPA,in it he specifically mentions salmon farming as a problem to be addressed.
Hope he's allowed to rectify this ecological crime.

.......sounds like "all mouth and no teeth" to me. With Scottish aquaculture being worth around 1.86 billion annually and generating around 8.500 jobs I cannot see the SG allowing "the problem" to be addressed.....but we can live in hope:rolleyes:

How much money goes to the exchequer and are you sure it's 8500 jobs?
I wud say 8500 aren't directly employed on the barges but take into this transport, processing ,smoking etc etc.
It's one if these things that can be dressed up to make it look more worthwhile to justify its destruction.
