The 2nd Annual Online Auction to benefit the Miramichi Salmon Association’s conservation initiatives is now open for bidding. Here is a link to the auction on the website of Brad Burns Fly Fishing. On the auction page you will also find a link to three great raffle items “Orvis Mirage Reel, Sages Fly Rod of your choice, and an amazing Fly Collection.” All the funds from this auction will go directly to the MSA.
Payment is preferred by PayPal or Credit Card. Checks may be accepted if you e-mail me first at bigbass@maine.rr.com, but we can’t ship items until we receive the checks. All prices are in U.S. currency.
Proxy bidding is set up on most items, so you can place your top bid anytime you want and the computer will bid for you until that point is reached.
If you like Atlantic salmon fishing this auction is for you. We have 46 auction and raffle items, and we may expand that number to include extra prints of some of the artwork from the new book On the Cains if the bidding gets lively. Also, it is likely that new items will be added throughout the auction, so keep checking in.
Here is a sample of what’s available:
• Cains River jet canoe tour with lunch at Mahoney Brook with Jason Curtis
• Cains River brook trout and overnight at Mahoney Brook camp with Kevin Sabean.
• 2 three-day trips to Black Brook Salmon Club
• Several excellent fly collections by tiers like Marc LeBlanc, Ashley Hallihan and Rudy Ciecko
• Spring fishing trip to Wilson’s
• Luther Hall and John Rice original art, professional photographs
• Sci Angler’s fly lines, more fishing trips, stunning wildlife and songbird prints
• Much, much more

There are some great trips and flies and art in the auction Brad is hosting. As a fellow Miramichi Salmon Association board member, I felt good about donating this framing to the effort:

Hope something piques your interest and hurts your wallet, all for the Atlantic salmon!
