If it is the Skytouch model you are looking at, I"ve got the 13ft 6" 8wt., it is lighter, better balanced and just as powerful as the V-spey. A few friends of mine have tried the Skytouch and are amazed at how good they are. Unfortunately all sizes of Skytouch models are showing as out of stock on the Maxcatch website.Just opened it, amazing quality and a free Spey line with it and a leather degreaser and greaser.
Will have to get down the river asap. Got my sights set on another model now.
Alignment dots on sections, cordura case and bag.
I have had the 14 V-Spey for a few weeks now and gave it some "serious wellie" coupled with a Gaelforce multi-tip it`s as good as any rod i`ve tried! and better than a lot of them, could do with a down locking reel seat, for the money you can`t go wrongJust thought for the money it was worth a punt
Got mine from Amazon with next day delivery but a bit dearer than from China but no waiting?I must say I am impressed, I can't decide which one to go for.
I see they are out of stock of most of them, I wonder if they are bringing new models out, the current ones are well discounted before the stock20 discount
The V Switch are decent rods pretty much the same as the V Spey but shorter. The 11'#7 matches well with their #7/8 switch line. The 11'6" #9 will chuck a 600grain head and heavy tip easily.Following on from the above has anyone tried (or know of anyone who has) the Maxcatch Switch rods? I am looking for a spare & they are on offer at the moment so wondered if it was worth a punt.
