Im not sure but I read online some researchers believed multiple men in the picture were from Ireland and that apparently 3rd and 4th in from the right were lifetime friends.

It really is a brilliant thread this. A lot of the images show just how far humans have came really, putting men on the moon, developing technology, building sky scrappers. I always find it fascinating to think a few hundred years ago people stayed in mud huts and fought with swords and now they are exploring Mars.

But then, on the other hand some of the images in this thread illustrate just how little has changed too, the brutal images from terrorist attacks, WW2 and Vietnam.

Reminds me of a video I seen online of a old ww2 vet who was at Dunkirk. He talked about how its a great shame that humans can put men on the moon and yet still get into catastrophic wars that tear nations apart.
