Have a look at the Kamasan B983 Wide Gape Specialist. They look a nice hook. I have bought some but not had the chance to test them on anything big yet.

They are okay.

Fairly fine in the wire, used in coarse fishing circles for smaller (as in less powerful) species eg perch.

Nice inturned point, but not so keen on the up eye…….

Beg to disagree but widely used for Barbel and Carp. Fine wire but very strong. Up eye is good for tying hair rigs etc.

I have used the hooks from Korda for a number of years and have always found them to be strong and durable. They have a decent selection that work well with tube flies.

kamasan B980 used them for 2 seasons now and no issues whatsoever i use them from a 2 through to an 8 but they are correspondingly smaller than trebles or others at the same reported size

also had a go with the drennans and they seem very similar
