Hi,
Just wondering if anyone out there has a suitable type of wire that can be used for making flying c's ? I know you can get them from Spintec and Co. but I prefer the idea of maybe getting a spool with enough to make a truck load and a fraction of the price. I have been using "Super 6" 0.80 Mig Stainless Steel welding wire and it is driving me insane. It is the reason I have given up (almost) making them. It is simply rubbish and keeps breaking as it seems to get too hot when turning it in the wire former :mad:
Hope to get as much advice as possible...
Thanks !

McHardy's of Carlisle sell 6" wires by the Kilo. Approximately 2180 wires apparantly for £50.75. That works out at less than 3p per wire.

You can also buy .8 tig welding wire, be straight, all you need is 304 grade, it is cheapest but won't rust.

You can buy spools of stainless steel wire from wires.co .uk, Specialist in craft wire, knitted craft wire, silver wire, enamelled copper, resistance wires, stainless steel, plated wires and many more![/url]. Either 50m or 5m and they are very cheap with excellent service. I've used them for the past 8 years with no problems whatsoever.
