The Guideline ULS Multi tip #8/9 is a great set up on my 10' Loop Evotec Cross Weave #7 (more of a #7/8 rod in truth).
I use it on small rivers; mostly spey casting and occasionally overhead casting.
Guideline will have a range of tips available at the end of this month.
If you don't mind the loop to loop connection with the running line, you might look at the ULS3D+ range.
I have a 300gr Rage compact I use on a 10ft #7 Hardy Zenith but I much prefer a 19gr Guideline Uls head with 10ft polyleaders and Amnesia running line. Also have the 3D Uls heads for getting deeper but they rarely get used as the singlehander is generally for summer fishing,The Uls lines were a game changer for me.Have a short head Rio Outbound I only used once I feel the integrated running line is too heavy for such a light head and impairs casting distance.I cover any medium sized river with the Uls you wont regret if you buy.
