Really got into using these flies last season where they worked really well on my local res as a point fly on a washing line. Also worked on Menteith. Haven't tried a Hares Ear one so I shall be tying a few.

Yes hopefully I’ll be on Menteith and other waters with my club this year but suspect it might be more the summer than the spring thanks to COVID.
Sorry for delay. Only just noticed posting. If I remember rightly I used an old cheap Indian hen cape I had attempted to dye olive many years ago. It turned out a very washed out yellowish.
