Are the greys gr60 switch rods trout or salmon rated?

Would also welcome line suggestions that work particularly well on this rod.

Thanks

I'd say Trout rated.I've cast the GR50 5/6 weight and liked it a lot.Its very very similar to my own Airflo NanTec in a 6 weight(which I rate highly!!.Lovely rods and at a good price too!

Yes. Although it was an older line.

I found it too heavy.. more a salmon 7/8 than a Trout 7/8.. I've a WF 9/10 Airflo sniper for mine now

What is the casting weight for these rods? I have the 7/8 and cannot find any info. Have a Barrio 7/8 on mine which is nice, however looking at a new line soon. Is it 23g or so?

Barrio switch ! That's what Mike Barrio recommended when I asked him. Get one with the same rating as the rod.

I use a 7/8 Gr60 with a Rio SSVT in #5, which is 21grams with a 33ft head. The rod is definitely trout rated not salmon.

I have got this rod recently and put a Barrio switch 7/8 on it.
If I was to be honest it feels light I'm not sold but I will give a few months

I think it is a touch light also, I was looking at a rio switch chucker or a scientific angler Scandi light (both integrated heads) however not sure what # to go for!

If you think it’s light go up a line size and get the barrio 8/9 (if and when they’re back in stock) superb lines
