I had a 13ft gr50 and sold it on because I didn't like it.
I didn't think it had any feel to it but the 14ft might be different.
I replaced the gr50 with a shakey 12'9 that I find much better.

Cant comment on the GR50 but the GR70 is a superb rod, incredible value for money,

I have a Gr50 double hander 15ft its a good rod but i find it a bit on the heavy side tbh still cast a line no bother but theres just something am not 100% sure on and i cant put my finger on it. Tried a older xflite 15ft and loved it. Like yourself i struggled to find much details or reviews of it before i purchased it but i got it for a steel so cant complain. keep telling myself i should sell it
